The Blenheim - Buckingham is a race for the strong sprinters as they race around the more unseen parts of England.

The race is one of a few to feature a palace, however, it's not the iconic Buckingham Palace but rather the lesser-known Blenheim Palace, a monumental country house which is a principal residence of the Dukes of Marlborough.

As the race begins, the riders a treated to a steadily downhill start on the A4095, reaching as up to -7% as they ride the highway to Buckingham. Break artists may look to take their early chances on one of the only hilly parts of the route as they enter Kirlington.

From then on, it just a nice flat ride as they go from highway to highway, catching an odd sight of local Ardley Football Team, and it isn't until the 2nd half of the race where they reach the highest point of the race, ironically named Juniper Hill. From there, just like the start, it back to flat and downhill riding as they enter Buckingham with the sight of century old Buckingham Golf Club, opened in 1914.

If the break has been caught by now, then trains will start to form and ride as they pass over River Great Ouse before they reach the final roads, a very technical path filled with turn after turn, so it's important that trains keep their leaders up front before the madness starts and ends on Castle Road.
