It is likely that sprinting teams will try to keep the Peloton together and call off any form of breakaway. Going west the Peloton moves North West after entering Manacor reaching the northern coast at Badia d’Alcudia. The Bay provides a much needed breeze to cool down the riders, whom has led the leader group up until now. Continuing the path the riders will reach Alcudia and do a roundabout at Puerto de Alcudia to leave this tourist town in pursue of the finishing line.
Going south towards Palma de Mallorca, the riders will be challenged by the foothills of Serra de Tramuntana that could be a perfect for riders to attack prior to the finishing sprint and to see off the best sprinters in the pack. Entering Palma can become tricky, when the leaders follow the route through the old part of this magnificent city. To gain the ability to win the sprint in front of the ”La Seu” - Cathedral of Palma, the second largest Cathedral in the world, the riders must keep in front following the last curve into the Carrer Mirador. Here the decisive sprint will occur and the winner of the Vuelta a Mallorca will be crowned.
