Unfortunately for the riders, they won't be able to enjoy the scenery and the many beauty-spots along the route, as it is also very tough.
The route starts in the town of Jablonec, where the riders immediately have to climb the first hill of the day. After a tricky 1st 25 kilometres, we arrive at the first real challenges of the day: Kopanina Kopec and Mala Skala Kopec. With sections of over 15%, these hills are very tough indeed. Both climbs start in the valley of the Jizera, which is a very beautiful valley indeed.
After this first section of hills, the riders will have 20 kilometres to recharge, until the next climb. This climb leads the riders to the beautiful Château Hruba Skala. But with the percentages again reaching well over 15%, the riders will be unable to enjoy the Castle, which is a shame.
The good news for the riders is that they left the hardest part behind them. The route is pretty flat now, until we reach Mladá Boleslav. Here, the riders have two more hills to climb. The first one leads to the city centre and is relatively easy. But riders who want to attack will have to take their chance here, as there are only 3 kilometres to go. There is however still the finishing climb left. It is most likely that the race will be decided in the final 500 metres of this climb, were the percentages average 8%.
