Even the Kaaba in Saudi Arabia is washed with their rose water. Riders should flock to the rose gardens before sunrise, to salute the Prophet. When they have done so they are allowed to go to the start, 5 km uphill outside the village. If not the race is already lost here.
The first part of the race is a long descent with some tricky parts. After 12 km the riders survived the hardest downhill section, but it will continue to go down for another 16 km. When the Kashan-Natanz motorway is reached, riders take a turn right and will head towards Natanz. For the next 30 km the route is false flat and pretty easy.
Around 50 km riders it may be wise for the riders to put on protective clothing as they will soon pass the Natanz Enrichment Facility. Breakaway riders may have a hard time here. Not only the road starts to get uphill, they should also consider that a small group of cyclists may look suspicious here. Its best to stay together and not scout the surroundings too much.
Therefore its is expected that one big peloton starts with the climb to Abyaneh, a very pretty mountain village with its typical red-colored houses. In the last 20 km the elevation rise is nearly 800 meters. However the climb is fairly moderate and hardly reaches high percentages. There are also few hairpins thus technical climbers won't have an advantage. At the finish a big bowl of the finest, shiny rose petal water awaits for the winner.
