In Sale Marasino they will pass just next to San Zenone Church, Saint Zenone to whom the church is dedicated, according to tradition protects fishermen.
Near Pisogne the riders leave the lake's shore and from there they have to climb the lush green mountains surrounding the lake. After completing a tour around the lake, the peloton goes through Sarnico again before climbing the last hills, which lead to the municipality of Iseo. The finishing line is just in front of Oldofredi Castle, which was built in the 11th century, the celebrations after the race are usually held there.
After a confortable first part, the riders will have to go through many hills and climbs which are very taxing for the riders. Only those with the best hills skill can hope to break away from the peloton and reach the end of the race ahead of the others.
