Welcome to Alhados TT, an old Time Trial race in Mafra, Portugal. The first question that might pop up in your mind is "Where did the name of the race came from?". The answer is very simple: In English "Alhos" means garlic and "Alhados" is a portion of garlic. I know you might still be a still confused, but everything gets clear when you know that this race is organized during the regional "Festa dos Alhos" in Mafra.

There is no surprise that the trophy for the winner is a portion of garlic. Even so, no rider will want to miss the chance to win the race! 29 km across this very special city would be interesting if you wanted to sightseeing. The start and the finish line are positioned at the "Palácio Nacional de Mafra" who was used by "D. João V", King of Portugal", on the 18th century.

There are no real difficulties during the race and the riders will have long flat roads during most of the course. The only difficulty will be the 0,6 km climb from the "Rua Doutor Carlos Garlão" at some incredible 23%. Still it won't be long enough to make a real difference.

The organizers are expecting this race to attract more persons to the regional party. Will you join them?
