Yes, enjoy it the first couple of laps, because in the end there will be important SC points to be won, there is still a classification to be disputed!
The Stage starts in Compiègne on the peaceful France countryside, before entering the lively capital, Paris. The route until there is absolutely flat and doesn't make any deviation on its way to Paris.
The riders will go directly in the direction from the Champs-Élysées to start the final circuit. Here we'll have 3 laps that instead of the traditional circuit that crosses the Louvre, here the riders follow the Champs-Élysées all the way up to the Arc de Triomphe, leave the roundabout on the Avenue Kléber down to the Place du Trocadéro with the magnificent view to the Eiffel Tower before going up the Seine River back to the start of the Champs-Élysées. The finishing line is just 300 meters after the last turn, so positioning and sprint power will be vital to win the final stage.
One thing is for sure, the winner of the Stage won't ever be forgotten and alongside with the GC and SC winners, will be remembered as a hero after going to the podium on the Champs-Élysées. Mythical stuff to start off your OCM career.
