The headline says it all a season of change... Just 3 riders (Chibaza, Parilla and Wessels) survived the changes within 1 2 Cycle. Meaning 7 riders cleared the way for 9 new riders all of them creating a higher playing field. Turning 1 2 Cycle from a good division 2 team into a division 1 worthy team. And all that my friends in just 90 days’ time!
This means that a few good deals were made. Sadly enough this does mean that our hero and self-made man Darian Hadfield had to clear the way because of a great offer, this still pains us although a higher overall level has been reached. For example Reinhold and van Baerlem joined 1 2 Cycle, both great riders. Reinhold for example has made a name for himself in OCM. Still with 32 years old he scores more than I could hope for and he still is Germans national champion!
A quick sum of the old and new riders:
Old riders:
- Darian Hadfield
- Casper Kwiatkowski
- Vasko Žujovic
- Lowell Echlin (talent)
- Donato Baradez (talent)
- Leon Pippen (talent)
- a nobody
New riders:
- Winfried Reinhold
- Edward Van Baerlem
- Karl Huveneers
- Huub Neijsen
- Svatoslav Gottwald
- Wibo Veenhuis
- Vincent Vacik
- Leeroy Sabino
- Estéfano Pelegrino
The 1 2 Cycle management is very happy with season 23. Big changes, made it into division 1 and 12 results, hoping for 13 on day 88 what would be a new record for 1 2 Cycle, fingers crossed! Last year there was no re and or preview so no goal checking this time. Never the less the management did make new goals for season 24:
Season 24 goals:
1. Get into and stay into division 1.
2. Participate in a first tour for 1 2 Cycle.
3. Get at least 10 division 1 results.
4. Find a new captain worthy talent and train him.
Well there you have it my friends, keep it spinning and till next time!

Yeah Pelegrino will be my LO2 for many years to come :)
It's very nice to see that the change was a successful one and that you made it into division 1. I hope for you that Baerlem and Reinhold will keep the team there.
Will follow you closely, with special interest for your LO-in-making; Pelegrino ;) good luck.
Congratz on your new riders - looks sharp!
