For Holwerda Cycling this was the best season from the last seven. Almost reaching 10th in the ranking but just 29 points short.
More than half of the points were won by Geert Tankink who scored 1700 points, a record for our team and 3rd in the world rider ranking. And not only did he score points, he also won Critérium La Provence and Germany Tour YC. On top of that he came in second in both Alpe d`Huez Classic and Zürich-Bern-Zürich.
Another young rider did also very well. Egbert Wisgerhof managed a win between the big guys, 3rd in Vuelta de los Castillos SC, 5th in Copa Salsa de Cali, 3rd in La Génération Future (U23) SC and finally 2nd in World Championships (U23). My doubts whether I could make good use of him as captain are gone. Let's go!
The other wins were from Quint De Ligt and Lowie Bol.
The season of Geerd Bruintjes was quite dissapointing. His TF period led only to 80 points.
And offcourse it is nice to be ranked number 1 in both Netherlands team and rider ranking.

Congrats on a great season! Fantastic young riders you have, hope they‘ll perform even better in the next season. Tankink could have scored a few point less this season though ;-)
