The race starts in San Jose, California, traveling through the I.T cities of Cupertino, Mountain View and Palo Alto before testing the Hills and Downhill expertise of the time-trialists in San Francisco. Riders must climb through the streets of Telegraph Hill and Russian Hill, to the Embarcadero and finally to the Presidio Park.
Currently the city is evaluating a request by the race organizers for the race to go through the Golden Gate Bridge but this has not been approved yet because of traffic concerns.
