From here the riders take the 2D highway with perfect roads reaching Matamoros, a very hot and humid city, along the way the riders can look at all the statues of all the battles won in this city, every war had battles in Matamoros (Mexican Revolution, War of independence, Mexican-american war) Mexico never lost a single one, that's why Matamoros is know as an Undefeated, Loyal and Heroic city.
Finally at 138 km the last city is Las Higuerillas (little fig trees) which is a small place with 2,112 people living here. The finishing sprint will be taken on flat and beautiful roads. When the race is finished the riders can relax on one of the several islands near here or go swim at the sea. Don't forget to eat some figs!
