The 27kms long stage instantly sends each rider up the mountainous roads of the Monte Ceneri Pass (elevated 1,818 ft above sea level) testing the abilities of the rider and his bike, which would have experienced severe revamping treatment by the team’s mechanic to meet the requirements of this hostile environment.

Little wind blows through the pass, that connect the Swiss cities of Bellinzona and Lugano and in this Italian-speaking area of Switzerland, as the rider fights the clock while relishing “the Golden Hour of Ticino”.
