Krakow is a beautiful city, no doubt about that. It has always been a center of Polish academic, cultural and artistic life and is a prime destination for all tourists visiting Poland. The Old Town, with all the gothic churches and baroque mansions, sets a perfect scene for a cycling race. At least from fans perspective.

Riders may have a different oppinion though, because the race itself is very tricky. The name of the race translates simply to "small streets of Krakow". It features 12 laps of a nearly 14km circuit around the center of the town with lots of narrow cobbled roads and sharp corners.

Some parts of the course will pose additional difficulty - for example on Karmelicka street there are tramway tracks laid out in the middle of the
cobbled road and trams ride along with the cars, cause there is just not enough space for a separate tram lane. This is a nightmare for the cyclists and if a tyre gets inside the tram tracks a fall is nearly certain.

On the plus side, when the race is finally over everyone may stay another day in Krakow to visit the Wawel Castle and dine in some fancy restaurants in the beautiful Kazimierz district.
