The riders will have a jump start and after going outside of the fans crowd they will head west toward the biggest lake in northern Italy, the Garda.
Here the peloton can enjoy the faboulous landscape on the Gardesana road, with lake on the left and mountains on the right, passing through magnificent holiday places like Bardolino, heading then north to climb Mount Baldo, one of the hardest parts of this race.
Done that the remaining peloton will go back to the coast till Riva del Garda, the pearl of the northern part of the lake.
Then another mountain segment before reaching Trento and going alongside the Brenner motorway till the city of Bolzano, Sudtirol capital, where the last survivors will battle to cross the finish line first in Waltherplatz.

Description
The terrain in Verona-Bolzano includes many steep and hard climbs and has very hard downhills. The terrain includes an average amount of hills and has only a few flat roads. The stage ends on a small and easy climb. The finishing climb never gets steep. The route demands a bit of technique from the riders. Wind speed: 22,5 m/s.
