The race consists of 20 laps of a 2,9 km long circuit around Piata Victoriei - so the total length of the time trial is 58 km, which makes it ideal for riders specialized in TT.
The circuit take the riders around the Kisseleff park and on the narrow streets in the neighborhood - an exclusive expensive area where generally only embassies are located.
The itinerary starts in Piata Victoriei, in front of the Romanian Government headquarters and follows the Kisseleff Avenue - passing by the Natural History and Peasant Museum. Then the riders enter the Kiseleff park where there a couple of artificial climbs and descents arranged - nothing too fancy but they are felt in the last laps. Then the riders follow Mincu Street and the riders reach the monument of Airforce heroes; a sharp turn on the right and the riders follow the cobble road of Bulevardul Aviatorilor which gets them to Piata Victoriei. But the circuit does not finish here, as the riders have to turn 180 degrees and take another 400 m on the cobbled street up to Modrogan alley. The lap is closed as the riders pass by streets Tirana and Paris to reach Piata Victoriei again.
