From Newport they go west and enter Cardiff for the first time, then continue to ride to Barry. Barry is the turning point for the last kilometers to Cardiff. When the riders enter Cardiff the best sprinters are up front.
At the finish line on Museum avenue in the town center there is a splendid ceremony in front of the city hall at Cathays Park. The winners will be invited by the mayor of Cardiff at Cardiff Castle for a banquet to celebrate their victories and the overall winner will receive his Red Dragon jersey.
