When the peloton passes the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park they will face some climbs of which the Maisematie (1.4km, 7%), Ylläksentie (1.5km, 9,9%) and the Äkäslompolontie (1.8km, 9,2%) are the hardest. As the peloton leaves the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park and gets closer to Muonio the road flattens out. The less gifted climbers might be able to regroup with the leaders on the flat part before the leaders start on the final climb.
The final climb of the day is also the hardest one. The ascent of the Oloshotellintie (1.7km, 10,6%) will determine the winner of Kolari – Muonio.
