The pack rides the A70 to Joppa. When they enter the town they have to take a turn right into Laighpark Road, the first small curvy road. Via "Martnaham Loch" the peloton follows the A713 all the way down to St. John's Town of Dairy. They will ride a local roadcourse (12 kilometers long) twice, with Kil Hill in its centre. This hill (1.4km long, max. 8% steep) will surely shake a lot of riders off the pack. After this local round the race continues on the A713 into Castle Dougles. Probably there will be only a small group of riders left at this time. Once they enter Douglas Castle they have to turn left into Cotton Street, making a sharp turn right into Queens Street later, to continue to a small town called Gelston. After a last turn right the riders will be riding on the Old Militairy Rd, a small hilly road with steep parts of 8.5%, to the finish on Kings St. where the finishline will be drawn at Market Hill Park. The last 1.2 km are slightly uphill (2-3%), so only those who have a little bit left in the tank can take the victory.
