This early battle of the Race of the Minuteman is as important to those with hopes in the Sprint Classification as it was to the Revolutionary War.
The long route through Concord, New Hampshire and up to Laconia passes many state parks and historical farming areas where the Minutemen rallied to the battle cry of their fledgling country on their way to famous battle such as Bunker Hill. The peloton will enjoy some beautiful scenery as they tour New Hampshire on their way to the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee.
The finishing sprint should open just after the peloton passes Lake Winnisquam with an all-out effort by those with hopes for the Sprint Classification. New Hampshire has the honor of being the first state to form a State Government during the revolution, and whomever crosses the line first today will be likely have the honor of holding the Sprint Classification lead until the final stage of the tour.
