Verviers-Soumagne begins in the city Verviers in Wallonia, Belgium. The city is famous for having many fountains and has been named Wallonia´s water capital.
From Verviers at 170 metres above sea level the race goes southeast to Belle Croix at 600 metres above se level. And then north through the German border to the German city Aachen. Aachen is the westernmost city in Germany.

Then the riders will head back to Belgium and to the village Fléron, west for Liége. From Fléron the riders will ride to the small waterpark Domaine Provincial de Wégimont. Where the riders will turn left towards Soumagne where the finishing climb will be.
Then the podium will recieve medals with the Wégimont Castle as the symbol.
