After nagging injuries have kept him mostly sidelined dating back to last year, Hoosier State Cycling's Van Landry earned the second podium finish of his young career. Landry finished second in a bunch sprint finish to Valls-Cambrils behind KD Papez's Jakob Ribiè.
"I'm very proud of Van today," said Hoosier State Cycling DS Clarence Beagle. "Our season has been snakebit so far with Landry and Henschel unable to stay healthy. This was a much-needed result."
"I felt great today for the first time in a while," Landry admitted. "It's just nice to get back in the saddle and really compete."
Landry will race again later this week before returning to training camp to work on his climbing.
