S66 Review

Written by Amstel Flanders at 22:51 25/10-2023

Greetings, OCM managers and visitors. The end of the season has come and here we are, 90 days later to enjoy a quick peek at our performance this Season (Route) 66.

First of all, thanks to our fans and friends that never stopped believing in the team potential, even now some of the main men of the team aged a bit hehehe. Following the format of last season, this season can be defined in just one word: Records. The one expected in a long time, breaking so many team records and competing in good level, starting the first part of the season at D4 and racing mainly (and winning) at D3, finishing in the top places of the third division.

Two big surprises: Aksentiev and Hanák. The veteran Macedonian (who will finally retire at the end of S67) won the first jersey of the team in Greece with 35 years old, beating several younger folks lacking ambition. On the other hand, our Slovakian star shone and won his first races for the team, also contributing to his NT as elite helper in his first race (win for Slovakia). Now he’s enjoying a good rest to be back in top form to collect more points and results for the squad.

Despite his age, Mr. Iranman keeps scoring and extending his living legacy. By far he’s the best sprinter of all time in Iran, a country known for its climbers and downhillers; a different kind of rider leaving his own mark. Many scorers and lots of points, all our leaders but one had a great S66 doing their part for the team.
