Written by Navarone Cycling Team at 20:44 3/3-2022

It is with profound pride that Navarone CT sponsors, particularly NMMC and Uzbekneftegaz, our long-term national sponsors, but also all our global partners, announce that the fruits of the Navarone Talent Academy in Samarkand finally have borne fruit in the form of Yury Khanilov, a promising 21-YO sprinter with a powerful kick in hilly finales that has been recently promoted to the senior team.

Unlike other attempts from the Academy that finally had to search their fortune in regional teams, the performance team is positive that Yury has what is needed to be a key contributor for the team in future years and currently already, being the first national project to join the senior team after Immanuil Antonov blasted the door open a few seasons ago. Not to mention, he should prove of immense help in the Uzbek National Team, and, in a few years, become the natural backup of Antonov.

Precisely his first competitive race will be in Poland next week, forming part of the LO train of Antonov, where we hope he can learn the ropes from our team of expert international leadouts. We wish our current star and our future star the best of success in that race and others.

  Motherland, be prosperous forever!

Our performance team indicates he seems to progress and learn faster than his peers. (read: he's actually not maxed overall, just on the 4 skills)

Tashkent Browncoats at 21:26 3/3-2022
Finally a decent pure sprinter, the first one in the history of the NT. Surely, Antonov on average has a lot more quality, but his handicap for the NT is that the WT offers no real FR races. The nation is grateful for your efforts!
