Hello and welcome to the unpunctual Late Show with Jonhathan Hernandez!
Races
Essex Tour started yesterday and it was nonother than Van Melton who took hilly stage one, in front of ex-familytour´s Remus Chilbuctean and Wesley van Dongen from mapei blanchi. RotM also started and stage 2 saw Alexander Appple (wtf with the name tho. lol) imposing himself in front of Ivo Hillrost and Xabat Elcano. Stage three however was a 141km long climbing hell stage, and Shane Austin was the one to pass the finish line in top position, in front of second place Canadian Kirby Stanford and third place Roland Perk.
Talk Segment
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome from Fighting, the one, the only Buciu Alexandru!
JHDZ: To start it off, how are you man?
ALEX: Hello, I am good. I was at work today and now I am trying to relax. Managing the team means having funds as well, so I have to work to get the funds. You know, sponsors and all.
JHDZ: How did you join OCM?
ALEX: joined OCM because I was looking for an interactive cycling manager game. It was around the time when Tour de France was on TV so the feeling of watching the Tour also added to my interest. I must say that OCM was the first game popping up at that time and the first I chose, so it was kind of love at first sight.
JHDZ: Are you really Romanian?
ALEX: Yes, I am really Romanian. I could have chosen another country, but it seemed like a challenge to represent Romania.
JHDZ: Any Romanian project in mind?
ALEX: Yes, there is a Romanian project that is currently undergoing and that I am participating in. It was actually David Popescu's idea, I think you know David. He proposed to us, the Romanian community to join in a project to scout and develop Romanian young talents for the NT and a few of us joined his initiative. I am currently training 3 riders, a climber, a HL sprinter and a rider with an insane technique. I also plan to sell them after their training is finished, so stay put for my posts.
JHDZ: Favorite race in IRL calendar?
ALEX: I cannot say I have just one favorite race IRL cycling, but if I were to pick one I would pick Paris - Roubaix.
JHDZ: Favorite IRL rider?
ALEX: My favorite IRL rider is Mark Cavendish. I love the way he sprints and his explosion, although I know that the age is against him now.
JHDZ: Favorite OCM manager
ALEX: Here, in OCM, as IRL, the managers have different styles, so I don't really have one favorite manager. If I were to pick, I would pick jmtoler, as part of my results and what my team has become is thanks to his mentoring. And I also have to mention David Popescu, from familytour, as he became one of my favorite managers. I have to say that when we started the Romanian project, I did not expect it to last so long, but his involvement is what caught my eye and why I respect him and the other managers from the project as well.
JHDZ: Favorite OCM rider
ALEX: My favorite OCM rider is Bartlomiej Krajewski. You might not have heard of him and if you search for him, he will probably not pop-up. He is a TT rider who did great for my team. He retired a few seasons ago and I miss having him in my team. I have to mention that he did not have any incredible or out of this world talent, but the combination of his abilities is what made him great.
JHDZ: What has been your greatest achievement?
ALEX: My greatest achievement was when Fighting reached 1000 points and we entered and competed in Division 2.
JHDZ: Any plans for the future of Fighting?
ALEX: My plans for the future of Fighting are to develop young Romanian riders and to keep the ones that are truly great. My goal is to reach Divisions 1 and 2 with great Romanian riders.
JHDZ: Ladies that was Buciu Alexandru! Lots of applause for him! If you have any suggestions or want to be a guest please leave a comment or PM, I answer to all messages.
