Svalbard have confirmed their first three transfers of their second stint.
One obvious departure was the English sprint prodigy Rodger Storkson. Top division side Spin Doctor have been confirmed as his destination. The English team is largely sprinting based and will have an eye on him being a potential new captain or lead out man.
And then the new signings were announced. The first to be announced was 24 year old Craig Guard. The Bermudan time trial specialist was previously at
Maerimydra and has been a consistent performer at division 3 level. His highest finish was fourth last season at the Fort William ITT so he should be a good addition for the division we are currently in. Signed for a tidy sum of 155K he should be a good addition to the team.
The second unveiling of the day was that of 25 year old Ruslans Liepezers. The Latvian time trial specialist had a team record 415k spent on him so hopes have definitely been raised for our future. He also has had many results at division 3/4 level and should be a great hope for our future.
The rumour mill also has it down that Trek is in for one further rider, but nothing has been released as of yet.
