Edan Bassil was the fastest rider in the peloton when Concepción - Pozo Colorado was coming to an end. Edan Bassil speeded up and managed to get several meters ahead of the competitors in the ordinary sprint. Behind him was Kent Brøkker, hahavideo, struggling with Giovanni De Vocht from Triple Double. Giovanni De Vocht saw his competitor get across the finishing line only a few miliseconds before himself, while both of them could only watch while Edan Bassil raised his hands for the victory.
Edan Bassil wasn't surprised after winning Concepción - Pozo Colorado. I simply knew I could do it. I felt good all day, and when the end was there, I gave everything I had, said the confident winner.
The stage couldn't turn out any better than this. Edan Bassil did a perfect job today, said LADodger, manager of Laguna Beach Cycling, after the race.
