Riders from Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, São Tomé and Príncipe, Jamaica & the United Arab Emirates will form a 6-men squad to compete in what is historically seen as the biggest tour on the OCM-calender: Germany Tour.
Looking at those exotic flags & nationalities one might think that EEO has once again re-entered Germany Tour, but instead it's QSM that has chosen these 6 riders to represent his team.
QSM:"To be fair, we hadn't counted on an invitation for this prestigious tour, but a couple of decent results have lead to the fact that I got a call from the race-organisers this afternoon asking me if we wished to participate in the upcoming edition. We obviously hadn't planned for competing in this race but when you get asked to be a part of such a legendary tour all pre-made plans go out of the window so I accepted the request in a heartbeat. It was only after the phone-call that I realized what I got myself into as I had no clue who to select for this race. So I though to myself, why not give a chance to riders who have made lots of sacrifices to become a pro-rider as they come from parts of the world where cycling is not seen as a big sport? And so it happened. By representing these countries/continents my riders hope they can add a little to the growth of the popularity of cycling in those states. So not only will these riders perform for my team, they will perform for the entire population of their nations. Very exciting and heart-warming, if you ask me."
Baradez (Col), Carezani (Bra), Manderiaga (Crc), Ernesto (St&p), Isenberg (Jam) & Dawud (UAE), ich wünsche sie viel glück in Deutchland!
