Sometimes you just get caught in the daily OCM-routines, doing them on autopilot rather than properly using your brain and analyzing things.
It seems the above has happened for Quick step minded in recent weeks. Results haven't been this bad since we restarted, and as a consequence we are now back in division 3, while being in the top-40 less than a season ago, and we don't know what we are doing wrong.
Laszlo Jeger, who used to be a model of consistency has found himself struggling lately to string a few top-9's together. This, mixed with the fact that the transfer of South African CB'er April Kagiso turned out to be disastrous (not scoring a single point during his 1-month stint in the team) and the low max of supertalent Rogerio Lagos (see previous PR) has all lead to QSM ringing the alarmbells now and possibly selling a few riders for the time being.
We need to go back to basics, and try to really fully grasp the true meaning of OCM. For this to succeed, manager QSM has made a drastic decision. "We, as a team, need to find the grassroots of OCM and when we have found them, we will implement them in our strategy, and we will thrive as never seen before. However finding these roots is not easy. Many have tried before, but only a handful found what they were looking for. That's why I will personally go on expedtion for a few months to where it all started, Denmark. Hopefully I will be enlightened when I return and you all will see a new Quick step minded. If not, we might have to come to the conclusion that our time is up and we are no longer a relevant force in the world of OCM at this point in time."
Hopefully this day, this PR, could be the foundation of a new era, which in many years will be referred to as the 'QSM-era'. On the other hand, this PR could just be the insane ramblings of a madman after 1 beer to many. Only time will tell.
Farvel så længe.
